I am a surf coach from the Netherlands with experience coaching some of the top surfers in the country, as well as during the ISA World Surfing Games and Eurosurf.

With a degree in Sports Management, I’ve learned how to professionalize sports from both a coaching and management perspective. My passion for research and plan development drives me to create innovative coaching methods that help surfers push beyond their limits.

I believe in making a real impact, not just in the water but in the personal lives of the athletes I coach. My approach is personal yet professional, always focused on finding new ways to help surfers improve technically and tactically, so they can reach their full potential.

NALU

Born and raised between Oahu, Hawaii, and Redondo Beach, California, I grew up surrounded by the surf culture, and you could say I was born on a board. My surfing journey began at age 4, when my father pushed me into my first wave, sparking a lifelong passion.

From there, I quickly transitioned to local competitions, then the NSSA, and joined my high school surf team. Competing successfully, I advanced to ProAm contests and represented the University of California, Santa Barbara on their surf team.

After a back injury ended my competitive career, my passion for surfing remained strong. Determined to contribute to the surf community, I channeled my deep ocean and surf knowledge into a coaching career, helping others push their limits in the water.
